Meet and greet with the founder of Goodwill
After the worst flooding in decades of Thailand, Goodwill tried to get reunited with its people. Due to a long closure during Bangkok flooding, many students (women beneficiaries) and volunteers had fled Bangkok to other safer provinces. Goodwill organized a get together instead of a usual New Year party. In the year 2012 Goodwill converted the New Year party into a ‘Team Building Party’ to ensure that the place is safe and ready to provide same good service. Students and volunteers could see both familiar faces and new ones from different classes, different days. The theme was Thai traditional temple funfair.
Make up workshop by Shiseido
Mr.Masato Yamada, Managing Director of Shiseido came to greet with our students
Students joined our latest make up workshop conducted by our favorite supporter, Shiseido. We would like to take this opportunity to thanks Shiseido (Thailand) and its staff for providing a full section of makeup training and giving the girls many good tips on how to look more confident and professional. Apart from gaining personal development, the girls went home with small gift items of Shiseido products.

Updated from Ubon Ratchathani (new branch)
After several months Goodwill has its new branch opened in Ubon Ratchathani province, the program has received lots of attention from the villagers. In the past few months Goodwill Ubon has already organized;
How to Survive in Bangkok: for young girls in high schools. The main purpose is to raise awareness to these providers of the future of their communities about life in the big city like Bangkok. The activity basically stimulated future planning for the teens in the villages. Most of them anticipate finishing high school and then migrate to the cities (mostly Bangkok) to find works. Apart from giving them knowledge about what need to know, place to live/work and how/where to get help in Bangkok, this activity also provides them with opportunity to work in their own communities.
Mobile Vocational Training: This program targeted adult women in villages. Goodwill provides this group of women, mostly housewives; with skills they can make supplemental income. After family farming season, these women are usually free and stay home raising children or grandchildren. This program is actually organized in their communities (different villages in the province). The trainings include sewing skills, homemade cleaning product, jewelry making etc.
Every women at the 'homemade cleaning product workshop' were busy testing their formula
